Plot: Detective Matthew Scudder (Liam Neeson) walks into a bar after asking his friend to wait for him in the car. He gets two shots and a cup of coffee and is about to leave the bar when two masked men enter the bar and kill the bartender which compels Matt to take quick action and starts firing at them and later on rushes behind the two killing one of them. The remaining one rushes to the driver who is his ally, and they try to flee but Matt shoots the driver in his thigh, and he limps while the third man escapes, Matt later kills the driver. Fast forward eight years and we see Matt.

Now a recovering alcoholic is dining at some diner about to have his meal when a freak approaches him for his help for his brother Kenny Kristo (Dan Stevens). Kenny is revealed to be a drug trafficker, and his wife Carrie was murdered which left him broken. He offers a sum of 20,000 dollars to Matt if he finds and kills the kidnappers who kidnapped and killed his wife. Matt declines the offer and work and later he sees Kenny outside his apartment pleading him to find the kidnappers and reveals to him how his wife got brutally murdered which compels him to track down the kidnappers.

The rest of the movie is all about how Matt’s fantastic strategies help him track down the kidnappers and bringing them to their fate and avenging Kenny’s wife and how his son TJ hails him as a hero while he slowly closes his eyes while seeing the drawing TJ made him.

Analysis: This movie rings a bell, well if “ No Click to look into! >> Read More... ” is your answer then probably you have not watched “Taken series” which is an epitome of Liam’s brilliant acting. This movie is similar to these movies mentioned and thus makes you cringe for this movie. Also, the plot has resemblance with the “Taken series” as this movie relies upon Liam’s heroics to bring it to a satisfying conclusion. The screenplay is satisfying as Liam raises its bar as he cruises through the movie.

Star Performances: No other actor can come up in this paragraph other than Liam Neeson, as he acts so naturally and with so much finesse that you just can’t take your eyes off him.

What's There?

• Nice plot.

• Brilliant performances from Liam and other actors who add a bit here and there to support his performance.

What's Not There?

• A straight-forward approach towards every sequence of the storyline can be noticed in every Liam Neeson movie, this movie being no exception and thus needs to get better.

Verdict: This movie is ideal for those people who are looking for action mixed with some really cool strategies and of course who can ignore a Liam Neeson movie.
