Plot: Wimpy kid is a boy who is freshly out of his middle school and has to face now the real world as opposed to the protected realm of school. His survival in this world is the whole quest for the kid.
What you may like:
1. It was highly impressive and a pleasant surprise that this movie which is made out of a book wasn't, for the most part, predicable. This adds most to the charm that this movie has.
2. The little moments in the film are so funny that you will laugh hard irrespective of your age and will constantly have a pleasant smile on your face because the movie is adorable and lovable.
3. Although the movie is targeted mostly on pre-teens and teens, but the best part of the movie is that it is as enjoyable for their parents. The movie is clean and doesn't have any kind of adulteration which makes it very lovable indeed.
4. It is so relatable for all the kids who watch this movie, and it will also be reminiscent of your schools days because it is so aptly portrayed without condescending any part of those days or the kids.
What you may dislike:
1. It would've been nice to know other characters in the film, and that went missing. There should've been a better character development for other characters of the movie.
2. If you are a parent or kid, you will enjoy the film. If you're watching this and you are neither of the two categories, then you will question your decision of watching this during and after the movie.
3. You will not think about the movie after you've watched it. There is nothing memorable about the film and nothing overly fascinating either.
Verdict: Take your kids to this movie and you will have a great time with them. However, do not watch this film if you don't belong to either of the categories.
