Friends with benefits is a comedy with some real cute romantic shots. A film directed by Will Gluck. The plot revolves around two like professional minded people who have a very different perspective of sex, and they believe that they should not mix it with these emotional attachments and feelings. Over time, they both eventually realize that they have started feeling strongly about each other, and take some action for the same.

Dylan comes to New York for his interview with GQ but feels a little hesitant in accepting the job because he’d have to move to New York. They both spend a night together and explore the city; Dylan thus makes his decision of moving and accepting the job.

One fine night they get involved in an intense conversation about life, sex and relationships and they share their perspectives about the same, so they come to a conclusion which says that sex shouldn’t be confused with emotional attachments and emotions it should be something very practical. As they both are highly attracted to each other, they end up having sex and getting close. Jamie starts confronting the reality and realizes that they should stop this because she again wanted to start dating, but since they both had such an opinion about dating she couldn’t confront him. Jamie starts going out with this another guy but ends up breaking up with him after meeting him five times.

Dylan offers her to join him for his family weekend to California. They both get real close and begin to like each other; this leads to an unexpected night of intimacy. However, the next day Jamie overhears an unfortunate conversation between Annie (Dylan’s sister) and Dylan in which he says that he has no feelings for Jamie. She immediately decides to fly back and starts to ignore him.In the end, after a lot of mishaps and a deep conversation with his dad, he finally begins to deal with his feelings and goes to Jamie to confess the same.

Analysis: A film produced by Will Gluck, with a lot of real drama, and episodes of comedy and romance. The story is written by Keith Merryman and Harley Peyton, this being a habitual story still somehow seems to fascinate the audience. Michael Grady has done an extraordinary job in managing the Cinematography. Overall the synchrony is tuned. It can get a little monotonous for some people because the script seems to be repeated and also the story is not very new.

Star Performances: Justin Timberlake an American actor and a songwriter has done a fantabulous job and has played the role in a very comic and a cute way. Nobody could have done his part in a better way. Mila Kunis is a beautiful and a young actress, with a lot of talent, it seems like that she has felt the character while performing the role.

What’s there?

1. A good synchrony of comedy and romance.

2. A meaningful movie is what this is.

3. The chemistry makes it, worth the watch.

What’s not there?

1. The concept seems very repetitive.

2. The comedy part could have been a little improvised.

Verdict: A realistic movie, with great chemistry.
