. Hal Jordan will be leading the team of Human Green Lanterns. Stewart is an architect and a retired US Marine from Detroit. He was selected as a backup Green Lantern of Hal Jordan.
Eventually, when Hal Jordan gave up his place as the lead of the human Green Lanterns, Stewart takes his place. Jordan notes that Stewart has a belligerent behavior and is not fit to be a Green Lantern. His complaints go unheard by the Guardians. John Stewart is the first Black character created by DC comics. This movie is also speculated to have more than these characters joining the corp.
