Plot

Jordan Sanders was constantly bullied as a child in her school days. This causes her to a bully as be an adult. As a business woman, she is bossy among her team. She is dominating her team like it’s a kingdom of villainesses. Once, she was harsh with a child in a toy store which resulted in the child wishing that Jordan should be a child like her. The next after this incident, Jordan woke up, as a teen girl. She is shocked that she is in her teenage. This caused a massive mess in the office. Jordan had to leave her assistant called, April, to take care of her work. Jordan was enrolled in the school where she was previously bullied, and April acted as her aunt. What will happen to Jordan? Will she be able to become an adult? How will April manage the office? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Regina Hall, as Jordan Sanders, did an incredible performance in the film. She was perfect in her role as bossy business women. Her comic timings were perfect. Marsai Martin, as young Jordan Sanders was brilliant. Her detailing of the character was outstanding. It is hard to act as an adult in a teenage body, but Marsai did the best of the film. Her acting is the highlight in the film.  Issa Rae, as April Williams, did a fantastic performance in the movie. From a timid, submissive assistant to a good Executive, she portrayed it well. Her acting is admirable in the film. Her chemistry with young Jordan was perfect. Their chemistry made the film entertaining. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, entertaining, and funny. The film focus on the central theme of bullying in school and how it affects children in later life. The film is had an excellent message and theme. The storyline was engaging to the audience.  The comic elements of the film are maintained from the start till the end. The songs in the movie were perfect for the scenes. The cinematography and editing were excellent.  The storyline was generic, and the ending was predictable. The narration was amazingly framed. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellently written, primarily the dialogues between young Jordan and April.

The film had a well-talented star cast. The storyline in the movie was exciting and funny. The film also had a great message besides being an entertaining film. Those who love comedy friction films will love it.
