Plot

This documentary is about surrogacy in India, specifically in Gujarat. The narrator visits Anand, in Gujarat, at the surrogacy center, where surrogate mothers stay. Surrogate mothers are those who rent their wombs, where a family gets blessed with the gift of life. They conceive funds on behalf of childless couples for a sum of money that would otherwise take years to make. They get offered medicines, food, bedrooms, and other facilities.

Like any mother, they nurture babies in the womb for nine months, and all suddenly end after delivery. It could be heartbreaking and devastating. Before you blink, the journey is over. Is being a surrogate mother a scientific miracle or just emotional wreckage? Is it a rewarding experience to enrich the life of a family or a lifelong regret?

Star Performance

All the surrogate mothers starring in the documentary are star performers. They share their story and experience with us, which contains happiness and problems. They are brave all the time.

Analysis

Today, infertility is a crucial problem around the world. There are hundreds of women who rent their wombs to infertile couples. The film highlights the journeys of surrogate mothers and their struggles with motherhood. It shows how women feel when they first come into surrogacy for the sake of their livelihood and when they deliver someone’s child. Also, the direction of this documentary is impressive. The director observed women and captured their real emotions on the camera outstandingly.
