Paranormal Activity 3 a sequel to Paranormal Activity and Paranormal Activity 1. The first film released in 2007 followed by a sequel in 2009. Audiences loved the previous two movies and critics also appreciated them. Now this one takes place in 1988, it shows the two girls who were in the first and the second movie and shows the origins of their haunting.
Plot: It revolves around a boring family with some really scary ghost. It starts with the same weird activities around the house, and the male lead Dennis (Christopher Nicholas Smith) sets up a camera all around their house. Children being the protagonists (Chloe Csengery and Jessica Tyler Brown) of the film catch audience’s attention as we care more for their safety. It makes the audiences eager and keeps them waiting for something to happen.
This film carries forward the creepiness and scariness from the previous ones and continues to bring out our fear. There are a lot of jump scares in this movie and at a point we feel that it was relying on jump scares only. At first the demons look like playful, and it is not menacing, it is just kind of there. But as it moves further, we see that now it is paranormal, and there is activity! The first two were actually scarier, but this one has some cooler moments.
There is good acting, good premise and a lot of cool tricks though the entire movie is like a recorded footage. Paranormal Activity 3 has nothing new, but the same concept to offer.
