Plot

Adam Clay (Statham) is a less-spoken and introverted person. He is happy with his life, taking care of the bees. Initially, you will find that Adam Clay is a private person who minds his business. In the first half, you will see another character in the movie, Elois Parker ( Phylicia Rashad The Cosby Show, an NBC sitcom, which was telecast >> Read More... ). She has a special place in the film. From the conversation between Adam Clay and Elois Parker, we can see that they are good friends until she decides to end her life after getting trapped in some fraud scheme and losing all her savings.

Later in the movie, you might feel slightly surprised after seeing a significant shift in Adam Clay’s character. Jason was once part of a highly confidential government agency. Ironically, the agency’s name is “Beekeeper.” I assume you must have guessed the rest of the story. The movie has action, drama, violence, and gory content. The plot revolves around Adam Clay and phishing scamsters. Despite all the unnecessary violence, Clay is very well justified in his character.

Analysis

Overall, this movie is action-packed and one of the most satisfying thrillers. This movie might not impress you if you are not a fan of violent and gore content. The story is unique in itself and suitable for suspense lovers. If you are really into watching fights, explosions, and some drama, then this can be on your to-watch list, and you will not be disappointed.

It is fantastic to see how every character has worked so hard to achieve that perfect shot. Characters will leave their traces in your mind. Their hard work has paid off. Special kudos to Josh Hutcherson; his role as a tech geek is fantastic to watch. I liked how enthusiastically he played his role.

Verdict

This one-man-army action thriller is no doubt a story-driven movie. Watching movie will not be a waste of time, for sure. However, this movie is not a masterstroke if that is what you are thinking, and you can definitely expect more from the movie.
