Plot

When their daughter's community scholarship program falls through, Scott and Kate Johansen find themselves in a bind. They find an ally in their desperate neighbour Frank, whose wife plans to divorce him over his gambling and pornography addiction. Joining forces, the three open an illegal casino in Frank's home. What ensues is a series of wild and hilarious events that started with the couple's earnest dedication to securing their daughter's college fund.

Star Performance

The film stars Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell in lead roles with Jason Mantzoukas, Nick Kroll, Ryan Simpkins and Allison Tolman as part of the supporting cast. It's not a very serious movie, and it does not try to be: it comes across as what it's supposed to be, a light-hearted, comedic flick that sweeps you along in the silly madness that follows in the course of the movie's events.
