Plot 

The film’s protagonists are cousins Vincent, played by Jesse Eisenberg, and Anton, played by Alexander Skarsgård. They work for Eva Torres, played by Salma Hayek. They attempt to venture on their own, and Vincent pitches to Bryan Taylor, played by Frank Schorpion, their idea of laying down fiber-optic cable from Kansas Electronic Exchange to New York Stock Exchange. They start working together, and Anton tries to reduce 1 millisecond more to bring down the transit time to 16 milliseconds. Meanwhile, Eva is also trying the same by employing a new recruit to achieve the same results using microwaves. The film follows Vincent and Anton as they try to achieve favorable results, and face Eva and several other obstacles along the way.   

Star Performance 

Jesse Eisenberg and Alexander Skarsgård deliver stellar performances. Alexander Skarsgård perfectly portrays Anton’s peculiarities, intellect, and struggles. Salma Hayek also gives a good performance in her limited screen time. 

Analysis 

The film had an interesting and unique concept, but resulted as a fumbling mess because of poor storyline. The plot is all over the place as it tries to incorporate thrill, humor, and even tragedy. The film also digresses a lot by venturing sub-plotlines.
