Plot

A small town Rose Creek is dominated by Peter Saarsgaard. The natives hence go to a disorganized team of seven gunsmen, who are otherwise reliable. Denzel Washington heads this group. Now watch the fight between the good and the bad.

Star Performances

Denzel Washington is simply outstanding as the leader of a disorganized gang of gunmen, who is doing his best to help a village to be freed from the annoyances given by a robber. Peter Saarsgaard is at his wicked best while others have done what is required of them.

Analysis

Director Antoine Fuqua joins hands with Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke after Training Day Training day is an American TV show aired on CBS’ >> Read More... . Training Day would have made you expect more from the director and to be honest, the film works in bits and pieces. However, the director has given some outstanding action sequences which gain your attention after the awesome star cast.

What’s there?

The positives of the classic are presented in a pretty convincing manner.
Mauro Fiore’s cinematography is breath-taking.
The time-worn and rugged locales are picturized in an amazing way.
There are some moments of comedy in the film that will entertain you.

What’s not there?

The movie concentrates too much on violence.
The villain’s character is not properly sketched.
The plot of The Magnificient Seven is pretty weak. Also the proceedings are chaotic.

Verdict

The terrific star cast along with some positives makes this movie watchable once.
