This sensitive drama teaches us about the spiritual disciplines of kindness.

Plot

The movie is about a home-schooled boy named Auggie who was born with a congenital condition that caused him to have facial differences after a car accident. In his ten years of life, he has undergone 27 surgeries. He is fortunate enough to have a caring mom and a supportive dad. He also gets infinite love and affection from her older sister. Auggie’s mother eventually sends him to a regular school against the wishes of his father. Auggie is fascinated by American space travel ideas. He is a science nerd who enjoys Minecraft and Star Wars Star Wars is a show of Mastiii, India’s most popul >> Read More... . Auggie also walks in a toy astronaut helmet, which hides his face and fuels his fantasies.

The opening scene of the movie is dramatic, as it is the first day of Auggie’s school, and his parents drop him off. It was the first time he had to put his astronaut helmet down to face reality. It is a precious moment to see how each gave him a pep talk and motivated him before he took that enormous step into a new environment. He saw variety in his classmates; some were arrogant bullies, and others cared enough to know Auggie. Initially, Auggie was scared of the stares and name-calling. After getting bullied for a week, Auggie finds himself with four good friends.

Star Performance

Jacob Tremblay’s performance is touching and compelling as Auggie. He has given an extraordinary performance in the movie. The way the character has shown his strengths, and his vulnerabilities is incredible. Julia Roberts gives a convincing performance as Isabel. Her performance as a mother is heart touching, and she did a wonderful job. The supporting cast also shines in their respective roles.

Analysis

Wonder is an extraordinary and touching picture. It had a profound impact on me. From the starting scene, I was speechless by the heartbreaking narrative of Auggie. Wonder is a fantastic Christmas flick. The movie will help you appreciate your family, and it is a excellent watch for your kids, and you can watch it with them. It takes an extreme approach to bullying, analysing the problem from multiple sides.

The film teaches adults and children essential life lessons about compassion, love, friendship, acceptance, and zero tolerance for bullying. Wonder is a sweet family movie. Despite having cliché moments in the film, it is still an excellent watch for you as an excellent performance balances it out. You might feel the movie is manipulative, but an outstanding performance balances it well.

What’s There?

  • Stars gave an excellent performance
  • Message about kindness and friendship

What’s Not There?

  • The Plot is not attractive.
  • Unrealistic Script.

Verdict

Overall, Wonder is a straightforward, comforting, and charming film. It effectively conveys the message of forgiveness, making it a suitable environment. This film can make anyone’s day brighter. It is the feel-good film of the year. We cannot ignore its cinematic excellence. Chomsky is a good director who can easily provoke emotions from his audience. Just when you thought that thing couldn’t get any better, the film concludes with the Passion Pit song.
