PLOT:
An aspiring IAS officer, Dhruv, is staying with his roommate named Happy. To make an impact on his love-interest, Sakshi, who is a car loan executive in a private company, Dhruv buys a car on loan with Happy. However, the car gets stolen, and the story continues to follow the criminal activity around a tycoon called Minocha in Delhi.
ANALYSIS:
The title is of a recent song from a famous movie and has been used without giving it any thought. This film is a so-called failed Indian rom-com; stars objectifying women from the first shot itself. The arbitrary depiction of all the characters is predictable. It tries to redefine ‘coolness’ among youth, as a metaphor to show the modernity in society, which is a total fail. The filmmaker needs to give some thought before applying any idea/story. ‘Dilliwali Zaalim Girlfriend’ remains nothing more than just a role model of Hindi cinema shifting towards Delhi, Punjabi-centric loud movies. The idiotic story can annoy the audience to leave the theater.
STAR PERFORMANCES:
The only attraction in this film is Jackie Shroff, but just as a known face to the audience. He acted tolerable among the other cast. Divyendu Sharma, Prachi Mishra and Pradhuman Singh are complete disappointments.
