Plot

Set in a tragic future, “Ghoul,” follows the narrative of a recently appointed trainee soldier, Nida Rahim (Radhika Apte), who is assigned to question a terrifying terrorist in a secret prison. However, as she digs further into the interrogation, she finds some dark secrets about the facility. Soon, a ghostly presence, known as Ghoul, begins to haunt them. As the Ghoul starts eliminating his targets, a deep sense of horror and fear takes the audience on a suspenseful thrill ride.

Star Performance

Radhika Apte conveys a convincing presentation as Nida Rahim, depicting her excursion from an obedient soldier to a tangled hero grappling with her moral predicaments. She spellbinds the audience, carrying intricacy to her ethical journey.  Manav Kaul, portraying Sunil Dacunha, delivers a convincing depiction of the mysterious militant and does his role with layers of vagueness and ambiguity. Mahesh Balraj and S. M. Zaheer sparkle in their supportive characters, adding profundity to their performances. Every member of the series adds to the horrible and creepy atmosphere of “Ghoul,” making it a captivating experience for audiences.

Analysis

“Ghoul” rises above the ordinary repulsiveness class sayings by mixing political and philosophical components with a suspenseful ride. The director aptly mixes extraordinary sequences with socio-political events, making a backdrop of intriguing and frightful aspects. The series keeps you seated firmly with its twists and twirls combined with patriotism, tyranny, fear and force. The visual style and sound effects add to the overall phenomena, with creepy cinematography and haunting melodies that resonate perfectly in the climate of fear and foreboding.
