A mixture of ridiculous content, comical acting, hilarious jokes, and idiotic story; Khichdi: The movie is just like its TV show. Hang on to see how the Parekh family drives you crazy and insane when you watch this movie. Taste the Khichdi first and then relish it all through.
Plot: Narrated by two wise kids, the story shows that Jamnadas Majethia has a fantasy of having a legendary love story. But the fact is known that he would not be able to find a girl who would be loved smitten by him. But surprisingly, his neighbor falls in love with him, and they get married. But to his dismay, his love story is a boring one without any masala. And to make his story chatpata, all other characters indulge in a different way to create Jamnadas’ legendary love story. Will their efforts bear the fruit everyone wished for? For that, enjoy this made up delicacy.
Analysis: The jokes cracked in the film are amazingly designed. They are such we encourage people to recite. All the characters perform enthusiastically which automatically pulls us towards them. There aren’t any double meaning jokes, and it is a clean comedy. The songs go well in hand with the scenes. The PJs cracked are so funny that you almost die laughing, but it seemed the movie was dragged at the end due to many gags that weren’t really needed.
Star Performance: The original Khichdi stars, Majethia, SupriyaPathak, Rajiv Mehta, are flawless and competent. Even the new additions like Nimisha and Kirti add to the exuberance of the film.
What is there? 1. Long lasting laughter jokes. 2. Outstanding acting skills exhibited by the actors. 3. The editing is done in quite a good manner. 4. Music is very compatible to the story.
What is not there? 1. Limit to the gags that made a little boring.
Verdict: On the whole, the movie is a treat to the eyes. Laughter is what you want and a hearty laughter is what you get. For all the diehard fans of the Khichdi, you’re sure to roll on the floor while watching it.
