2015 Hindi movie Run Bhoomi Champs Don’t Cry is a shoddy remake of Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar. Prashant Singh Hailing from Allahabad, Prashant Singh moved to Bo >> Read More... and Rathore directed the movie. Maybe, the elite thought that the field of histrionics is free to all, and anybody can make movies. Mansoob Haider Bio coming soon... >> Read More... has produced the movie. The producer happens to be the dummy lead in the movie. He plays the character of Sikandar, a sports coach. His aim is to win back his daughter’s affection. His daughter hates being with robots.

Himani Attri Bio coming soon... >> Read More... does the role of Bhoomi in the movie. The movie intends to inspire the children and the youth. It is a more of a drama than a movie. The girl in the movie is intended to be a wonderful runner. The girl beats the odds and also steers clear of the coach who troubles her. She does it all to save her dying brother. The motto of the movie is that ‘Anybody can achieve’. One cannot make out why the coach Sikandar is taking up the project ‘Under-15 Himalayan Cross Country Inter-School Race’.

The cash award for the race is ten lakhs. Even senior sportsmen do not earn such an exorbitant amount in a year. But, maybe the director thought that audiences should digest it for the sake of cinema. The character Bhoomi is a 14-year-old girl. She badly needs money so that she can rescue her brother from an illness. It leaves the audiences aghast as the comatose brother is highly emotive than grownups in the movie.

After that the story moves around a question if the coach chooses the right option or not. Does Bhoomi represent the school? Or does the Coach select somebody else for personal gain? The girl Bhoomi enters a railway tunnel to give meaning to the metaphor that there is light at the end of every tunnel. Adding up to uneasiness, the caption ‘It's not over’ flashes on the screen at the interval.

The lyrics in the movie are meant to boost the morale of battered souls. The music does not have enough life in it. The patchwork reveals that the movie is an amateurish effort. The shots have not come out well, training sessions are not professional, and performances do not synchronize well. The movie leaves the audiences fidgeting in their seats. The story does not go along with reality. Boys and girls do not compete in competitive sports, and a rustic from remote countryside could make that out. One could best save on the cost of the movie ticket and go on a shopping spree.
