Analysis:

The story is as simple as it is. Although the story deals with a grim situation, there are plenty of light moments in it.  There are philosophical notes in the movie, but the story is well-balanced and does not make the audience ponder on philosophy excessively.  The two characters have different approach to treatment to their loved ones.  Shiv wants the doctors to perform surgery on his wife, and Tara hesitates to put her husband through an operation.  These moments bring tears, and there are several such moments in the movie.  The movie shows the actors in a wordy duel with doctors. Along with these, the story has moments in it portraying fleeting relationships.

What is there?

  • The movie’s plot is very simple, and the screenplay has a far-reaching impact.

What is not there?

  • There are some stereotyped scenes in the movie.
  • Some scenes showing infidelity do not fit into the picture well.

Verdict

The movie is a fine blend of emotions and is the best choice for a weekend entertainment.
