AaOndu Dina is an awareness spreading movie about the importance of voting. It is directed by Sanjay and has been inspired by true life events.

Plot

The movie revolves around the Election Day. As the elections come closer, the candidates of two different parties become more and more desperate for the common man’s vote. The Voting process of a small village in Karnataka is shown in the movie. How the party candidates bribe the voters with money, alcohol and false promises forms the basis of the film. As the final day arrives, the party candidates, their supporters, and the staff all get into heated fights to capture that one vote of the common man.

Analysis

The movie spreads a social message. It hits on the condition in India at the moment. This movie shows how the corrupt politicians and the people who have power in the country exploit the common man. They do not care about the actual well-being of the people, but when elections come, they start making false promises and start bribing the people. The script of the movie has been inspired by the real-life events of the farmers. The movie focuses on the poor farmers who never get any benefits from the government after they get elected, but during elections, their votes become very important. The film shows the hypocrisy of the politicians with glaring clarity. The director’s sole purpose is to make the people aware so that they don’t fall into the traps of the crafty politicians and so that they do not vote the wrong candidates. He successfully achieves this goal with a brilliant screenplay and above average cinematography. Sanjay’s direction is also commendable. The music by Sriharsha gives the viewers a different feel of the movie. There are two item songs in the film to make it more entertaining.

Star Performance

The most appealing part of the movie is how the director chose to cast real-life farmers in the roles of the farmers. There are no prominent actors or proper protagonists. The entire village and all the villagers have a certain role to play. All the characters are essential to the story.
