Plot: Mareyalaare is a romantic entertainer released on 26th February 2016. The film revolves around an ad filmmaker who meets a woman in Chikmagalur when he goes to look for a location. He falls in love with this girl and encourages her to write a book. The film shows how two people meet each other; they get to know one another, and the reasons why they start to talk as well as how these two friends having different personalities have so much in common.

Just like many other films, the relation between the two starts off as friendship but later grows into something else. However, the story also has numerous twists and turns. The film shows how the two deal with the vagaries of life and end up finding love.

Analysis: Mareyalaare is written and directed by Sharat Khadri, and the production is under Surabhi Talkies. The film surely has a lot of picturesque locales for the viewers to watch and admire. It has a hill-station backdrop showing Chikmagalur and Northern Karnataka. The director’s role in making the film is highly appreciated. It shows his skill and technique. It seems like he has given a life to it as well as to each and every character showcased in the movie.

The soundtrack of the film suits its requirements well. The songs are not just presented, but also sung well. What works a lot for the film were the location and camera techniques. Star Performance: Mareyalaare stars Thandav and Pavitra Bellaippa in the lead roles. There is also a cameo by Avinash which leaves viewers astonished. However, the acting is appreciated by the audience. The performance put up the actors is fresh and very pleasing to watch. Especially, as far as Thandav is concerned, he has shown his excellence as an actor with his amazing acting skills.

Even Pavitra Bellaippa does her performance really well. The overall acting and performance by the artists bear very less complaint. They add freshness to the film to a great extent; they successfully keep up to the expectations of the audience.

What’s there? There are many speculations why one should watch the film. It offers scenes with excellent hill-station locales. The story is also pretty good with twists and turns to keep the viewers glued. There is no exaggeration the film. It is a pretty simple story. Acting by all the actors is good. Moreover, the film is a reflection of the director’s skill. His role in making the film is clearly visible. Even the music is good.

What’s not there? There is nothing as such that the film lacks. However, it does receive negative remarks from many viewers. Some have also criticised it for not exactly reaching the story line.
