A person running from problems, chaos and literally everything.

Plot: Run Antony Click to look into! >> Read More... is a story of a guy who has been running from life problems, family, and his broken dreams. The story begins with a guy, Antony, attempts to jump off a building to commit suicide. Miraculously, he lands on a soft platform and fails in his attempt. Initially Antony is living a good life with a nice job, family and a beautiful love life. Suddenly, things turn sour which makes Antony take this step. In his second attempt at suicide, he is saved by a girl, and this sparks another love story. The movie then goes on to show that Antony is on a mission to save people from a terrorist attack.

Analysis: The movie is termed as a thriller but swings all the way to romance, action and comedy. The first half of the movie is stable as it depicts Antony’s lifestyle and his troubled life. Moreover, much emphasis is laid on the background of terrorist activities which he is there to tackle. The second half then goes on to rant about his love life, which makes a wild turn from all the thrill built up. The romance and cheeky songs drive away the thrill and indeed creates boredom in the audience.

Star Performances: The movie stars Vinay Rajkumar, the well-known heir of Dr.Rajkumar, who is making his way through in the industry. Although, he has pulled out the role quiet brilliantly, yet the script is here to blame. The movie wanders all over the place and creates a sense of boredom in the audience. The later part of the movie where action sequences are built up are left on loose ends, making a mockery out of nothing. Rikhsar Mir is fit in her role, but given less screen share which only provides for glamorous acts and nothing else. The other supporting actors have done justice to their roles, but have failed miserably to deliver quality performance solely because of the script.

What’s there?

1. The movie has a nice theme depicting an individual’s triumph over his own fears and weaknesses. The story is there to serve you right.

2. The songs are catchy with some really alluring glamour.

3. The action sequences, though a few, are enough to have your adrenaline sore high and keep you glued to the movie.

What’s not there?

1. The story lacks consistency, which makes it run all over the place. The wild twists and miraculous saves add to the audiences’ dismay.

2. The villain, which is not present, is shown in a number of sequences and makes it boring for the viewer.

3. The unnecessary songs and diversions of the story, make it a complete package of unwanted drama.

Verdict: The movie has a promising first half, but goes downhill in the second. The verdict is dicey on this one.
