Vascodigama..You would be surely inquisitive about the title. What relevance has this title to the contemporary society? Vascodigama is indeed a pleasant surprise and a film for students has hit the Bangalore screens after quite a long period.

do the role of Kannada and English lecturers respectively. Kishore has firm belief that education should come from within and should not be forced. In fact, he even goes to the extent of considering his students as his friends. But due to this there happens certain discrepancies in the college. And well, to add to the romance element, there is the nice love story of Kishore. Will Kishore succeed in winning the love of Parvathy? Also, will the college turn out to be the topnotch college? Watch the film to find out.
The plot of Vascodigama is inspired by 3 Idiots. The genuine attempt by director Madhuchandra in trying to bring a difference to the system is appreciable. By now you would have guessed who is the Vascodigama of this movie; yes it is Kishore and he has done a commendable job. Parvathy Nair fits the bill to the T.

The film may be liked by some and criticized by some hardcore critics. But when the director has boldly attempted such a theme, he should be ready for such criticism. The suicide of students due to pressure is also presented in this film. Though the first half is quite dragging the second half picks up gear. The hard-hitting reality of today’s society is shown beautifully in this film.
Poornachandra Tejaswi’s music is ok.
Verdict: Vascodigama is an “enlightening” film for the youth. It can be watched by parents too.
