Plot

It is a story of a planter played by Prithviraj who never had a quest for love and marriage but finally falls in love with a girl played by Mishti. After marriage, the couple moves to Scotland where their family is settled. But their married life faces a mishap when Mishti dies after giving birth to a child. Heartbroken Prithviraj leaves his daughter with his brother and his wife, who are in Scotland. But when his daughter is kidnapped,  Prithviraj’s life takes a new turn. He tries to get united with his family again and fulfills his mission in tracing his daughter.

Star Performances

Prithviraj Sukumaran is the real winner of the movie. He steals the show with his macho look, which his fans would love. But more than his appearance, he has concentrated more on acting. In the second half, when Prithviraj is in quest of his daughter, the actor sets a new tone for the movie. The actor plays a romantic hero with Mishti in first-half and then narrates a grief-stricken dad and husband in second-half. Mishti looks glamorous and does romantic song sequence with ease.

Analysis

Director Jinu Abraham has kept suspense throughout the film. First, he shows the hero who never dreams of getting married. Next, when his wife dies, he leaves his child and leaves the viewers in a melancholy mood. Later when the hero’s daughter gets kidnapped, the movie takes a turn to horrified action. The song sequence looks meaningless and some fight sequences do not make any sense.

What’s There?

  • Prithviraj’s macho avatar leaves the viewers in AWE.
  • The balance of emotion, drama, suspense moves the story in each frame.
  • Bollywood actress Mishti played her part well and her chemistry with Prithvi is awesome

What’s Not There?

  • Action choreography could have been better
  • Songs didn't impress the viewers

Verdict

Go and watch the movie if you are a diehard fan of Prithviraj Sukumaran. Director Jinu Abraham shines in his work with this new masterpiece movie. Full marks to his intention in making a good suspense thriller movie.
