Plot

Rappayi is a hardcore “ Mohanlal Mohan Lal is the Super Star of the Malayalam film >> Read More... ” fan. He works as the theater operator in Mary Matha Theater in Irinjalakkuda. Most of the people in the area are Mohanlal fans. For Rappayi, Mohanlal is equal to the God. Rappayi pierces his cheeks and inserts the spear and dances before the theater where Mohanlal film Puli Murugan is screened. The film is about how Mohanlal is involved in the lives of the people.

Star Performances

Innocent played his part well as a Mohanlal fan. Other supporting stars have also performed as directed.

Analysis

Sunil Puveily had directed documentary films. He planned to direct Suvarna Purushan as a documentary film, but finally, he completed it as a feature film. The film was shot in Irinjalakkuda and the director didn’t shift his crew to any other location. The film is about the part of Lalettan in the lives of Irinjalakkuda people. But, the characters didn’t impress us much, although they were portrayed as Lalettan fans. The dialogues might be impressive while we read, but didn’t attract us when the stars deliver. To be frank, the celebrity worship didn’t have a significant impact in this film.

Although the film is to show the diehard fans of Mohanlal, it didn’t impress the audiences much. The overdose of the dialogues about Mohanlal might irritate even his fans.
