Plot

Murugan lives in a village with his parents, which is unguarded from wild animals. After the second childbirth, Murugan’s mom passes away. A tiger kills Murugan's father and both the kids are left alone. However, Murugan raises his baby brother Mani with the help of his uncle. Mani studies MBA in Mangalore. After few years, Murugan becomes a lorry driver. He is also a tiger hunter, who kills the Tigers that harm the people. Once, a hooded guy meets the village lead and asks about the whereabouts of Murugan. When the village lead asks about him, he says that he is in need of Murugan’s help to track and catch a tiger. Meanwhile, Murugan gets caught in a trouble and he has to escape from the police. Mani’s friend Shiva and his dad give him a hiding place. Did Murugan escape from the cops? Who is the hooded guy? Why did the cops search Murugan? Watch the action thriller in theaters!

Star Performance

Undoubtedly it is a one-man show by Mohanlal! He has performed extremely well in both emoting and action sequences. How could he get such scripts? Watching his performance is incredible. Kamalinee, the homely girl, whom we saw in Vettaiyadu Vilayadu is back as Mohanlal’s wife and she had done her part quite well.

Analysis

Vysakh has chosen an excellent script from Udayakrishna. His direction is good. The character selection is perfect. But, he could have concentrated more on the portions of Jagapati Babu, a well-talented actor.

Pulimurugan not only impresses the Mohanlal fans but all the audiences, who would like to watch a complete action entertainer. Pulimurugan… watch worthy!
