Plot

A youngster works earnestly for the improvement of the lives of tribals and Dalits in the area of Dandakarunyam, which is a forest belt. Eventually, he wins their hearts and is called as Kottanna. Now the industrialists and corrupt politicians see him as a challenge since they are bent on mining bauxite and several minerals in the forest area. Watch the movie and experience the conflict between these two groups. 

Star Performances

Narayanamurthy has done his role with earnestness. Gaddar and Lakshmi ably support him. 

Analysis

R Narayanmurthy has shown how the vexed tribal villagers protest the evil politicians and government authorities. In the process these villagers take the power in their hand and solve the problems by themselves. 

What’s there?

  • The plot of the movie is inspiring. 
  • The plight of the Naxalites and those who are ostracized by the society are shown in a commendable manner. 
  • The screenplay is one of the highlights of the movie. 

What’s not there?

  • The music and BGM are jarring.
  • Cinematography could have been better. 

Verdict

Dandarkarunyam is not the cup of tea of all audiences. Having said that, you can watch the movie if are an ardent fan of R Narayanamurthy.
