Plot

Gautham is a multi millionaire. He grows up without knowing the ups and downs of the life. He doesn’t care about anything. But, when he is insulted in a party, Gautham feels ashamed and decides to end his life. He drives rashly to hit his car in some vehicle and commit suicide. But his fate was written differently. While driving his car at high speed, Gautham hits Nanda. To his surprise, he finds Nanda looks like him. Both of them share their stories and decide to make some changes in their lives. As per their plan, Gautham goes to Nanda’s home and Nanda to Gautham’s. What happens after they swap their lives? Watch it on the silver screen!

Star Performance

Gopichand plays a guy born with silver spoon and a middle-class youngster. In both the roles, he had done his best. Gopichand emotes well and gets the appreciation from the audiences. Hansika doesn’t suit the role as a slum girl, but Catherine is apt for the character.

Analysis

Gautham Nanda is the do or die movie for both Gopichand and Sampath Nandi. Although the story is an age old script, Sampath Nandi has presented it neatly. Whether it is the introduction song or the swapping up sequence or the climax, Sampath Nandi has taken extra efforts to make the scenes, extraordinary.

What’s There?

Gopichand’s performance is cool and neat
Sampath Nandi’s direction is good
Thaman’s music and Sounder’s cinematography is appreciable

What’s Not There?

Age old script
Lengthy sentimental scenes make the audience feel bored
Hansika is misfit in the role

Verdict

The film might bring back the lost market of Gopichand. With the age old story, Sampath Nandi had built a good film to impress the audience. Gautham Nanda… worth watching, once!
