Plot

Deva and his friends used to give illegal film tickets in the Visakhapatnam. During this process, he fell in love with a girl called Gita. In 1995, the government announced the ban on alcohol. After hearing this statement, Deva decided that his group would now sell unlawful alcohol and earn a lot of money. But there was another group with MLA Simhachalam who were selling illegal alcohol in their area. Dev and his group had constant competition with this group. As they were doing illegal things, they were put in jail for six months. When they came out, Simhachalam people had captured their illegal alcohol selling. Deva decided to win over Simhachalam by capturing illegal alcohol selling. He choses to bribe higher officials. Seeing that Deva is meddling in his work, Simhachalam decides to kill his wife, Gita, and his friends. Deva, after knowing how Simhachalam killed his family decided to punish him for his deeds. What is going to happen? Will Deva be able to take revenge? Will Deva have the same fate, as his family and friends? The rest of the story deals with it.

Star Performance

Sharwanand as Deva, did an incredible performance in the film. His journey of a powerful Gudda was amazing. His acting and dialogue delivery was impressive. Kalyani Priyadarshan, as Gita, did a fantastic performance in the movie. She did a great job as a small-town girl. She has beautifully portrayed his role. She and Sharwanand look great as couple. One would hate Murali Sharma as MLA Simhachalam after watching this movie. That much impact he made in the whole film. His appearance as a bad politician who will do anything for himself is impressive. All the other actors were as good as the main lead actors.

Analysis

The storyline of the film was great, entertaining, and funny. The film focus on commercial cinema. The film shows how a local goon's life changes when he meddles with higher-ups. The film focuses on the fact that people in power will do anything as long as it goes in their way. The film has a realistic antagonist. The storyline was the same in every commercial movie, but the way they implemented it were fantastic. The action scenes was well choreographed and portrayed. The action and entertainment are maintained from the start till the end. The direction was impressive. The cinematography and editing in the film were brilliantly framed. The title of the film means Battlefield in Telugu. It is just like any other South film. The background music and songs play a significant role in the movie. The dialogues were excellent.
