Ajay has always done the roles of a villain, but he has changed his image from this film by debuting as a hero. D S Kannan is a debutant director who has also done the screenplay and written story and dialogues.

Plot: Veerraju (Ajay) belonged to Narispatnam village but was saving money to go Dubai. He is an orphan and was living with Dhana Lakshmi (Remya Nambeeshan), who was also an orphan. He treated her as a goddess so on her command, he decided to get settled and got connected to the owners of chit fund type company whose names were – Vishnu, Tambi Durai, Ramanath, Narayana, and Raghupati. They cheated Veeraju and raped and killed Dhana Lakshmi. So he decided to take revenge from them and left for Dubai. He met Preethi (Madhulika) who is an air hostess, on his way and gets attracted to her. What was Veerraju’s plan of revenge? What happened of Preethi? This all forms the climax of the movie.

Analysis: The music by Sri Sai suits on the action scenes, but it seemed loud for the casual scenes. This created disturbance in understanding the dialogues. It is impossible for someone to tell that the story is taken from a novel. None of the scenes showed the depth of a novel. Also, the story appeared outdated. The screenplay is not having any indication that the story belongs to a novel. The casting of the characters is cheap. The editing was good.

Action sequences take all the credit for its success. Ram – Laxman did a great job. Kannan should have given more dialogues to the hero in the first half. The story before the interval moves with a very slow speed, making the viewers blank with the whole concept. The credit for the successful second half should be given to Satya. He has done all he could do to make this film entertaining.

Star Performances: Ajay has shown his best in the action sequences, but he needs an improvement in dialogue delivery. He did his actual role in the second half. He should have acted more in the first half. He has justified through his action scenes that if given an opportunity, he will give his best in the action movies. Ramya has performed her role very well. She displayed the character of a village girl perfectly, with no glamour. The remaining supporting cast also performed nicely in their respective roles.

What is there? Kannan has shown his talent in dialogues and direction. Ajay’s role as a villager was compelling. He is best in the action scenes. Vishwa’s cinematography scores the full marks, especially in the second half. That was the best part of the whole film. The credit goes to Satya who did the art direction. Editing, music, choreography and dialogues are good.

What is not there? It is impossible for someone to believe that it is a novel-based project. Neither of the factors has a feeling to that of the novel. The screenplay is a major drawback. The story is not portrayed as it is written. It failed at some points. There was no need to add the item number.

Verdict: The film confuses its audience about the story formula and the plot. It is an average movie but a watchable one, despite its weaknesses.
