Aloha Movie Review

What does the word Aloha mean? It is generally used to greet as well as to bid goodbye. The movie too has its contrasting moments; it is sometimes refreshing, at the same time serious.

Aloha Teaser, Trailers & Video Songs

Aloha is a romantic-comedy-drama directed by Academy Award Nominee and established director, Cameron Crowe. It levers around Brian Gilcrest’s (Bradley Cooper) life, who’s a former military personal, and his professional and personal liaisons. He is entangled in complicated personal equations with Allison Ng (Emma Stone), his Air Force liaison and his former flame, Tracy.

Professionally he is pressurized by his seniors to do their bidding. The trailer is emotionally charged with casual doses of humor added along the way. The trailer’s emotional tone is reflected in the scene where Tracy confronts Brian asking for justifications. The film’s lead cast backed up by a strong supporting cast of Bill Murray, John Krasinski, Danny McBride and Alec Baldwin.

The film was perceived negatively by most of the critics. Its failure as a film was reflected by the huge losses the filmmakers incurred. The audience too wasn’t buoyed by the story of the film and this was reflected in the film’s poor box office collections despite it having such a strong cast. Critics judged the film harshly and went as far as to say that the film’s script felt like a parody of a Cameron script, showing how poorly the film had fared as compared to Cameron’s other works.
