Foxcatcher hasbeen based on a truly shocking story. In the teaser, Mark is questioned by Du Pont about what he wants to achieve in the future. Mark says that he wishes to be the best. The ambitious quality of Mark has been clearly noted through this. The trailer gives a thrilling update about the characteristics of Mark and Du Pont.
The passion of Du Pont for wrestling is evident from this clip. He feels that a coach is a pivotal reason behind the transformation of an athlete into a champion. He encourages Mark to be the best and Mark assures him that he could do anything for victory. The trailer has been embedded with positive responses and ratings from prominent film critics across the world. Film Foxcatcher was directed by Bennet Miller.
The movie centers itself around the lives of Olympic wrestling champion siblings Mark and Dave and wrestling enthusiast John E. Du Pont. Mark feels overshadowed by Dave since he has more prominence in the sport. Du Pont, the heir to the Du Pont family fortune, offers an opportunity to Mark, to train with his team and also get paid for it. Mark accepts this and moves to Pennsylvania. He has been provided with lots of luxury and comforts. Mark meets his teammates, trains hard and succeeds in winning 1987 world wrestling championships. Mark and Du Pont become close friends. But Du Pont gets angered by Mark and troubles him very much. Agitated by this, Mark decides to train alone. Du Pont ropes in Dave for his team. After some poor performances, Mark decides to leave Foxcatcher.
Dave stays with the team on the condition that Mark is financially assisted by Du Pont. Due to his mental conflicts, Du Pont ends up killing Dave and gets arrested. The film ends with Mark in a cage fight. Channing Tatum, Mark Ruffalo, and Steve Carell did a splendid work with their acting. The critics have been giving very positive responses for the movie.
