Bol Bachchan Teasers, Trailers, Video & Songs
Bol Bachchan is a 2012 comedy action film. It is inspired by the 1979 laughter-riot movie, Gol Mal. The movie starts with a glitzy title song featuring Amitabh Bachchan (in a guest appearance) alongside the main leads Abhishek Bachchan and the charismatic Ajay Devgn. It tells the tale of how lying can lead only to more lies and how religious identities take a backseat when humanity comes to the forefront. The movie stars Abhishek Bachan, playing Abbas Ali, who is cheated out of his inheritance and moves to a distant village, to start anew.
Prithviraj (Ajay Devgn) is a powerful man in the village, and values honesty above all else. The plot primes when a child falls into the temple well and Abbas rescues him, after entering the temple. To escape the religious wrath of the villagers, he lies that he is a Hindu by the name of Abhishek. For his bravery, he is hired by Prithviraj, who is soon impressed with his work. But the lies start falling apart when Prithviraj sees Abbas celebrating Eid as a Muslim. This forces Abbas to spin more yarns and create an alternate personality, but the act becomes impossible to keep up.
The movie also stars Asin and Prachi Desai as the love-interests of the major actors. Ajay Devgn and Dhillin Mehta produced the movie, and Rohit Shetty directed the movie. The trailer shows the movie to be yet another Bollywood masala movie that calls itself a ‘complete family entertainer.’ The movie was a hit and loved by the audiences.
