5 Sundarikal Movie Official Trailer Synopsis
5 Sundarikal is an anthology film consisting of five romantic short stories of five types of women. All the five stories have different themes and beautifully plays on the emotions. The first story is ‘Sethulakshmi’ which is about child abuse and based on M Mukundan’s story. Sethulakshmi (Anikha) is a little girl who has a speciality to collect wedding photographs of newly married couples from the newspaper. She cuts them out and pastes them on the pages of her notebook. When her close friend learns about her interests, he insists her to go to a studio nearby to get their photos clicked. Little did they know that their destiny is about to change after that.
The second story ‘Isha’ is about two unknown people Jinu played by Nivin Pauly) and Isha played by Isha Sharvani. They both meet each other on a new year’s eve in her mansion. Jinu is a burglar who is about to get to his business within no time and ties her up. But Isha intelligently makes a move; wherein she promises him two costliest items if he unties her. The story then takes twists and turns. The third short story is ‘Gauri’ which portrays a newlywed couple, Gauri (Kavya Madhavan) and Jonathan Antony (Biju Menon) who has eloped to get united and begin their fresh living in a hill station. Jonathan is fond of trekking, while Gauri is a passionate dance teacher. But fate has brought them to a tragic situation which changes their life.
The fourth story is ‘Kullante Bharya'; pictured by a bed-ridden photographer after an accident. A recently married couple played by Jinu Ben and Reenu Mathews comes to stay in an apartment opposite to the photographer. The husband is a short guy having a height of 5.1 while the beautiful wife is 6feet long. Hence, they become a piece of gossip for their neighbours. Soon they are expecting a baby. But the fate has something different for them. The last story ‘Aami’ is about Ajmal (Fahadh Faasil), who is a real estate dealer.
He faces a row of events while travelling from Kozhikode to Kochi to settle a deal. Asmitha Sood plays the role of his affectionate wife, who tries to keep him awake by calling him on the phone and asking tricky puzzles. The spectacular climax of all the five stories is touching and makes you weep. This movie is worth watching over and over again.Â
