Elesh Parujanwala is a Canadian-based NRI Businessman, who rose to fame after joining and winning in the Indian reality television show, Rakhi Ka Swayamwar on NDTV Imagine in the year 2009. The show’s concept is that the bride-in-waiting should choose her groom-to-be and got married in real life. Elesh, as the winner, got engaged to Rakhi Sawant.
Soon after the show ends, the newly couple joined another reality show entitled Pati Patni Aur Woh on the same channel. Elesh came to Mumbai with a hope to win Rakhi Ka Swayamwar and settle down. However, his relationship with Rakhi didn’t do well.
Soon after joining Pati Patni Aur Who, he said that Rakhi’s true color was revealed and that she only wants career advancement and financial gain while Rakhi called him a firangi and uncultured man. After the many controversies between the two, they ended their relationship in 2009. Elesh previously ran an acting/filmmaking academy and later shifted to import and export business.
Rakhi Sawant, the well-known drama queen of the Indian TV industry, was born as Neeru Bheda on 25th Nov 1978. In the year 2014, she launched her political party and fought the Lok Sabha election. Her party fared very badly and as a consequence, she merged her party with the Republican Party of India (A).
The early life of Rakhi Sawant was never simple for this girl, in her childhood days she worked for a caterer to support her family and she used to get 50 Rs daily. She did her schooling from “Goklibai High School”, Vile Parle and went on to study arts at Mithibai College. Her debut movie was ‘Agnichakra’ and later she went to work on in many low budget movies and did item numbers for them.
Her most famous dance number was "Mohabbat Hai Mirchi", for the movie “Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne” starring Zayed Khan and Esha Deol. It was an instant hit, and she became the Item number queen, and it was the era of item song which elongated her career further.
She has worked in many Hindi films, some of them are Kurukshetra (Sanjay Dutt), Joru Ka Ghulam (Govinda), Na Tum Jaano Na Hum, Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne, Main Hoon Na, Mumbai Xpress, Dil Bole Hadippa!. The most important thing about Rakhi’s acting is that she puts comedy with her sexy style, and the combo is very watchable.
Her role of Vishkanya in Buddha Mar Gaya (a comic movie starring Anupam Kher, Mukesh Pandey) was widely appreciated. Controversies always surround rakhi, be it her kiss with Mika Singh, break up with boyfriend Krishna Abhishek and her so called Swaymvar and later breaking up the marriage all these has given her bad publicity which she never expected. The life of Rakhi Sawant till this date has been full of events, we hope and wish her future life would be very peaceful.
