Savita Bajaj is a yesteryear Indian film and television actress, who rose to fame after performing as Gurdeep Singh’s mistress in Mani Kaul’s 1970 Hindi film, Uski Roti. She was later seen in Shyam Benegal’s National Award-Winning drama film, Nishant. In 1977, she performed in Lekh Tandon’s Dulhan Wahi Jo Piya Man Bhaye. She also made an appearance as a college lecturer in Vijay Kapoor’s Raadha Aur Seeta, in 1979.

Savita was seen in TS Ranga’s 1984 Hindi film, Giddh and acted in the 1987 feminist drama film, Pratighaat, the remake of the Telugu film, Pratighatana in 1986. She also bagged a role in the 1988 Hindi film, Libaas.

During the 90’s, she played the role of Chintho Singh in the Indian drama film, Tarpan. Savita is also part of Chandra Prakash Dwivedi’s period drama film, Pinjar and Pawan Kaul’s Bollywood horror-thriller film, Sssshhh… After her stints on the big screen, she found herself acting on television too. Savita made an episodic on Sahara One’s horror television series, Raat Hone Ko Hai. She was seen as Bhua in the very popular TV series, Maayka – Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka, aired on Zee TV in 2007. She is also part of Sony TV’s soap opera, Anamika.
