Cupid is a story of a Lunatic but a highly intellectual and appealing person who considers himself the Cupid, the Roman God of Love, who is banished by Zeus from Mount Olympus due to his arrogance only to bind 100 couples in true love. As a punishment, he was dispossessed of his supernatural powers. However, it was something he claims but was not in reality; at least it was thought at the beginning of the serial but the suspense continues to persist.

Cupid, whose original name is Trevor Hale( Trevor Pierce in Remake), was sent to a mental hospital for the fact that he considers himself as Cupid and tells his stupid yet hilarious story to everybody he met. There at Hospital, he met Dr. Claire Allen (Dr. Claire McCrae in Remake) a psychiatrist who was considered a specialist in the field of Romance and is assigned to Trevor. Trevor tells Claire that he has been banished from Mount Olympus by Zeus and will not be allowed to return unless he connects 100 couples in a true lasting pairings. After that, Claire released Trevor from the hospital thereby risking her career by taking responsibility for his behavior. Although Claire does not believes his story, according to her Trevor was suffering from a delusional state due to memories of his previous lover. Claire tries to recover Cupid from this Deluded state throughout the serial.

After getting released from the hospital, Trevor found a Job of Bartender and befriended another chap Champ, along with whom he started a Quest of finding isolated people and matching them with a pair. In this trial Trevor sometimes makes a situation worse and hilarious, which the spectators will enjoy. Moreover, Trevor bangs into Claire’s group therapy sessions thus upsetting her and creating, even more, Humour in this effort. In this story, Trevor continues to encourage love and relationship between people, but he remains chaste due to a notion that relationship with a mortal will corrupt him and restrict him to earth forever. The serial Cupid will be most appreciable to those spectators who love situational comedy and sitcom genre together with having some knowledge of Roman mythology and legend of Cupid, the Love God.
