The plot of the series features a 20-year-old girl Dorothy Gale. Dorothy resides in Lucas, Kansas. She and a dog, get transported to another world after a tornado. The mysterious land they step in after tornado is so called The Land of Oz.

Oz is the mystical land of wars, kingdoms that fight for supremacy, witches, and black magic. The series is the modern recreation of ‘The Wizard of Oz’. The show telecasted ten episodes of season one. The second season was cancelled by NBC. Every episode has its own set visual effects, solid script, and aspects that hold interest. The first episode, titled “The Beast forever” shows how Dorothy gets into the Land of Oz. Dorothy, during a storm, gets in a police car, when being confronted by a police officer. The tornado twists the car in which Dorothy and a dog are seated, and lands it in Oz.

The car hits a witch and she dies. Dorothy manages to reach the Emerald City with Toto, where she meets a man and names him - Lucas. “Prison of the Abject” is the second episode, which summarizes how Dorothy protects Lucas from his illness and witch Mombi as well, who poisons Lucas. Mombi gets killed by Lucas, when she tries to kill Dorothy. The third episode is titled, “Mistress-New-Mistress.” Dorothy gets to know the Wizard’s orders to kill her. Dorothy, Lucas, and Toto reach East’s castle where they try to use a tornado to go back home. But, Dorothy ends up landing in Oz.

Tip and Jack travel to the Land of Ev, where Jack dies falling off a balcony. “Science and Magic” is the fourth episode, which features how Dorothy gets knocked out by Ojo and how Jack is survived by a surgeon. “Everybody lies” is the fifth episode in which Dorothy is tracked down by West and West interrogates Dorothy to get the information she needs. “Beautiful Wickedness” depicts the recovery of Lucas’ memory and Dorothy’s confrontation with Wizard. ‘They Came First,’ ‘Lions In Winter’, ‘The Villain That’s Become’, and ‘No Place Like Home’ are the following episodes of the series which conclude the season one.
