“Bombay lawyers” was a fiction TV series by NDTV, based on real-life incidents, real law and legal cases and original stories. Mr Satyajeet Bhatkal was the director of the TV series and, he approached NDTV for the mini fiction TV series. There was a total of 13 episodes in the TV series. All these cases belonged to real stories of nepotism, the ill in the society, corruption, crime and many more legal cases. The format of each show showed a debate going on between two parties one pitted against each other. “Roy and Raghavan” is the firm of lawyers in the show who keep on the fight for justice and what is right. The lawyers of this firm fight for the truth against all the injustice. The show didn’t only include law cases but also the lives of people attached to it. There were people’s battles, jealousy, love stories, jealousy, zeal and, passion. The director of the show, Mr Satyajeet talked to the media about his upcoming show. He told them that it is a drama in a courtroom about the real conflicts in real peoples’ lives with sprinkle of some drama, he further added that he is happy about the fact that he is working with one of the most dignified and responsible channel, NDTV.

This drama also throws light on social issues that can help in resolving societal issues. NDTV holds a large audience, and a legal drama on such a huge channel will be a great platform to reach the masses. The managing editor of NDTV, Mr Dibang also talked about the show, he said that NDTV has always come up with different views and a show like Bombay Lawyers” can give the viewers insight into a totally different world.

This makes NDTV unique from all other channels. Also, Mr Raj Nayak, CEO of NDTV Media congratulated the whole team of the show Bombay Lawyers” for adding freshness to the TV industry with a concept like that and creating awareness among the large viewers. He further added that it is important to drive the attention of audience towards social causes. NDTV aired the first episode of “Bombay Lawyers” on 21st July 2007 at 10 pm. There were two cases in each episode with running time of one hour.
