Ishqbaaz is a famous hindi serial which airs on Star Plus and revolves around the lives of famous and rich Oberoi brothers. The three cousins are known for their good looks, charm, and binding which can go through any hurdle. Even though their parents are not close the three have a very strong bond and love for each other.. They have different personalities and throughout the serial, they find love in the most absurd times. The elder son of the family is Shivay Singh Oberoi. For outsiders, he is reserved and has a stoic personality. He doesn't show his emotional vulnerable side to anyone except his grandmother and brothers.

He is responsible and well-mannered but egoistic. He falls in love with a girl who is completely opposite to his personality, Anika. They have a contrasting relationship with a lot of difficulties but in the end, they both realize that they love each other. The second son of the family, Omkara Singh Oberoi is Shivay's cousin brother and Rudra's elder brother. He is a painter and has a creative bent of mind. He is quite different as compared to normal people and prefers to be left alone with his paintings. He is a self-made billionaire with his paintings and is known to have been accused of drug use. The youngest son of the family is Rudra Singh Oberoi. He is a funny and jolly boy.

He is the prankster of the family and brings a smile on everyone's faces. He gets married to a girl called Saumya by mistake and both of them keep this as a secret from the family which eventually comes out. The family faces many problems and threats from enemies which they somehow tackle and emerge successfully with Anika's support. Om hates his father Tej as he cheats on his mother with his secretary Svetlana. This results in his mother Jhanvi becoming an alcoholic and she ends up putting herself on fire when Tej decides to divorce her. This makes Om hate his father even more and he decides to never see him.

The Oberoi household always goes through a lot of people planning to kill them because of personal reasons. Tej and Shivay’s mother Pinky always argue with each other due to inheritance rights and comparisons between their sons. None of the rivalry among the elders affects the kids. Even if it does, their love for each other is so strong that it can cross any hurdle.

The Oberoi family is a rich business family that consists of two brothers and their wives. Jhanvi,an alchoholic is the elder brother Tej’s wife and they have two son Omkara the elder son and Rudra the younger one and a daughter Priyanka. Omkara is an understanding person and a self made billionare who has a history of drug abuse. He hates his father. On the other hand Rudra is a fitness freak who loves partying and doesn’t believe in the concept of marriage. Priyanka suffers from gloss phobia and social anxiety disorder. Shivvay has been seen involved in fights with Anika who has a catering business to support her adopted brother and herself. She is an orphan and most of the time humiliated by her Bua.
