which started in 2005. The contestants in the show were stand-up comedians, who performed their humorous acts in front of appointed judges, the live audience in the studio and the TV audience. Laughter Knights was different from the previous four seasons of the show because of the new features added which contributed to its popularity among the TV audience.
The finalists of the previous four seasons were competing in winning the show. Apart from the classical stand-up comedy part, there was also a Laughter Panchayat which was a discussion about the funniest performances and the contestants were evaluating the performances themselves, and the judges had the last word and final decision. The show additionally featured interviews with Indian celebrities from the television and film industry.
The contestants interacted with the live audience in the studio in a funny way, making the show in a more familiar setting and even more entertaining for the audience. The judges of Laughter Knights were
