Muawazaa Madad Ya Abhishaap is a Hindi soap opera which used to be aired on DD National. DD National, over the course of the years, has been known to telecast shows based on the problems present in our society. This serial is no different, and it continues the tradition. Muawazaa Madad Ya Abhishaap is about a girl, Gutti, who lives in a small village. It is an area where the boy child is preferred over the girl child, and in Gutti’s case, her mother wanted her to be a boy.

Everyone had prayed that it would be a boy, but it turned out to be a girl. Gutti’s mother was not happy about it. Gutti is a naughty girl who likes to play pranks on people. She will cover her teacher's pants with pencil marks. She will put powder on his back which will make him dance in a funny way. Gutti’s laugh is infectious which will infect anybody who is standing next to her to laugh. Her father adores her a lot. He never scolds Gutti and will always bring her gifts. Sadly for her, he doesn't stay for long in the house, so she has to stay with her mother.

Her mother keeps showering love on her son while she always ignores Gutti. It is not that she doesn't love her, she didn't want her. She always curses Gutti and never lets her have some fun. She is secretly plotting to get her married to another family. This is what used to happen in various places, and it still continues to take place. Gutti uses her strength and fights off any advances of her mother. She complains about it to her dad who takes up the matter. All this is not sorted out yet.

This makes Gutti’s self-confidence to go down at a new level. She wants to leave her house as she thinks nobody wants her. In Muawazaa Madad Ya Abhishaap, Gutti is determined to learn. She gets her leg injured and can walk with the help of sticks. This doesn't stop her from learning. She still walks to the school to learn. Her passion for playing games hasn't died yet. She still plays pranks on people and loves irritating them. Her mother ignores her and spends all her time with her son. It doesn't affect the relationship between Gutti and her brother.
