The Show was dubbed and telecasted simultaneously in various Indian languages such as Hindi, Bengali, English, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu and televised on Star Tv, DD National, Star World, Asianet, Star Pravah, Star Jhalsa, Star Utsav, Star Vijay and Eenadu Tv. The show was also dubbed in Kannada but could not be bradcasted in that langauge owing to the self-imposed ban by the Kannada Film Industry, inspite of a special request made by the late. Shiv Sena chief, Balasaheb Thackeray. The first episode in Kannada was later released on the show’s official website. Other than India, the show was also aired in over 100 countries around the world.

The show went on to create a wide hit, receiving overwhelming feedback from critics as well as general public. It was also appreciated by politicians, television personalities, social organizations, etc. for its extensive and in-depth research and content and its beautiful presentation. There were also many who criticized the show of lacking connectivity between the host and the victims. It was called as being a product of the Elitist conscientiousness. The shooting of the show was held in various parts of the country from Rajasthan, Kashmir, Kerala, Delhi, Punjab and part of North East. Only the studio portions were shot at the very own Yashraj Studios.

The show was also compared to several other hit talk shows which though not completely but were somewhere similar. It was compared to shows like Crime Patrol and Bhanwar which too had become popular in bringing to life the issues of the common man. Siddharth Basu, television producer-director, had compared the show to The Oprah Winfrey Show. It was also noted that the show did bring out a good knowing of issues and helped reach a consistences on many.

An official mobile software application was developed for the show by Hungama Digital Media Entertainment and released on Apple App store for iOS devices like iPad, iPhone and iPod for a price of Rs. 100 per download. The application allowed the streaming of music and videos from the show, while also allowing to make money transfer/ donations through Airtel money service.

The first season of the show premiered on 6th May, 2002 throwing light on a new cause every Sunday at 11 am. It ended the first season with a special episode on 15th August, 2012, Indian Independence day. The second season of the show premiered on 2nd March 2014

Satyamev Jayate is an Indian Hindi television talk show broadcast on various Star Network channels with DD National of Doordarshan. It has two seasons. The show focuses on social issues in India. It aims to showcase the accomplishments of people who often go unnoticed to encourage the public to achieve their life goals, no matter what happens. It aims to inform people about their country and inspire them to take action. Although the primary language of the show is Hindi, it is aired in eight languages, like Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Malayalam, and Marathi, and subtitled in English to ensure maximum reach. Satyamev Jayate's first season garnered over 1 billion digital impressions in 165 countries, with responses from viewers of countries like Asian and African countries, India, and China. A sum of ₹22.3 crores (equivalent to ₹36 crores or US$4.5 million in 2020) was received in donations by featured NGOs this season.
