The show was aired on DD National in 1984. The director of the show was the famous Chitrartha Singh, who gained fame after his Punjabi movie Chann Pardesi. The writer of the show was Sharad Joshi and the show was based on Fasana-E-Ajad by Rattan Nath.

The lead of the show, who was a pan spewing Lakhanawi Nawab, was played by Shekhar Suman. This was his first appearance on TV. The love of hero’s life was played by the actress Kiran Juneja and also the serial showed that the hero had his sidekick who was played by Shailendra Goyal.
