Wajood was a drama soap television serial that used to air on Star Plus. The serial was a mini series and used to be shown every Thursday at the 9 pm time slot. The serial debuted in January 2002.

The serial’s protagonist is Thakur Sharanjit Singh. He has only one son Raj, who works in the Air Force branch of the Indian army. Raj’s love interest is a doctor, Ms. Neetu, who he met when she helped a friend of his who was injured in an accident. Just before he can tell his father about the woman he loves, he gets a call back to duty. He is later declared killed in action. When his father learns of this, he suffers from a heart attack and Dr. Neetu is the one who save his life. She manages to do so, but in an unexpected turn of events, she is pressured and has to marry the Thakur.

As the couple is getting to be comfortable with each other, news is received that Raj is not dead and is returning. When he comes back, he is baffled by the shocking changes that have occurred while he was away. The woman he loves is now married to his father and he has to cope with that.

The serial was a moderate success and received praise for its unique storyline. However, some critics criticized the serial for its hard-to-believe twists and turns.
