Abeer Bajpayee is the only son of a very wealthy Brahmin family. His father is a lawyer and he is also studying law at a local university so that he may also become a lawyer like his father. Abeer is very popular among the fellow students.

The neighbour to this family is another family Mathur who are Kayastha. The two families have a strained relationship due to a difference in building construction. Kulbhushan Mathur, who is the head of Mathur family receives information that his elder brother, Brijbhushan Mathur, who works for electricity Department I s transferred to Lucknow and he invites his elder brother to stay with him. The elder brother comes to stay with his family consisting of his wife and two daughters. The elder daughter is Guddan(Leher) and the younger one is Bittan. Abeer falls in love with Leher at first site. He helps this family in many difficulties to win over the love of Leher, which invites the ire of his own family due to the strained relationship and different caste. After a lot of many dramatic situations, Abeer and Leher get married and the story comes to an end. The serial was telecast on Colors TV in 136 episodes during 20101-11. It lost TRPs due to its being somewhat similar to the 2009 movie Delhi-6 and was taken off the air on September 2, 2011.
