Samriddhi Ki Paathshala was a show which aired on DD national in the august 2014. This was a series of 26 episodes which aimed at increasing financial literacy , especially in rural areas which had lesser access to information on these issues. Produced and presented by the National stock exchange (NSE) and Association of national exchanges members of India (ANMI), the show belonged to the informative genre and concentrated on topics such as investment, mutual funds, stock exchange, savings, investment and net banking etc.
The show was hosted by Mr. Aashu Dutt and had a panel of experts who provided information on the topic of each episode. Scholars such as Mr. Laxmi Narayan , Mr. Ashok Ajmera etc. These experts answered the questions of the live studio audience. The show had the blessing and support of many eminent financial ministers such as Mr. Prakash Javed, the union minister of information and broadcasting and Mr. U.K. Sinha , Chairman of SEBI. During the course of the serial, the show featured around 50 experts in One and a half months.
The creative team used 3-D Graphics and animations to make the show more pleasing and attractive while explaining simple financial terms. With the use of new age technology, the team traveled all over the country to business schools and colleges, and tried to answer the doubts of the students through the use of video cameras and made them talk to the experts in the studio through the use of this technology. The show proved to be an exemplary success in providing information to the public and increased awareness on the importance of saving and right investment.
