Wine Country Citizen is a show in NDTV Good times.
Noopur Tiwari anchors the show. The show gives the viewers an experience of the wine culture around the world. It also shows breathtaking landscapes with rivers, castles, vineyards and fields of beautiful flowers. Noopur takes the viewers across the world to experience this wine culture. On this show, there are exclusive cellars stacked with great vintages wines and traditional secret recipes for wine making. The host, Noopur Tiwari works as an Indian reporter and for Women's liberation. Noopur has announced live on political, economic and social stories in Europe since 2004. She pens for the Business Standard (info about live markets, political news, etc.,), the Caravan Magazine (info about politics and culture), Hindustan Times, The Wire. in and Scroll.in. Noopur is the manager of a Women's Rights Twitter handle called “Genderlogindia”. She even worked as a producer with New Delhi Television Limited (NDTV) from the year 1996 to 2003. She has worked for over 13years with NDTV. She keeps travelling back and forth between Paris (where she lives) and New Delhi.
Wine Country Citizen is her recent program on wine travel in countries like France and South Africa. Her other television series “Art Beat” is a series on art and travel in Europe. Noopur produced, launched and directed the political satire “
Gustakhi Maaf” and published on NDTV in the year 2004. This program was progressed with French marionette creators Alain Duverne and Laurent Huet. Tiwari is also the co-scriptwriter of the adaptation of BBC series “Yes Prime Minister” called “Ji Mantri Ji”. She has also produced a few episodes of “
Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai” which is a show on the life of celebrities on Zee Tv. She made chapters on painter MF Husain, former Indian PM VP Singh and politician Laloo Prasad Yadav.
She also hosts a live show on women’s rights named “Your Call.” She has travelled to over 35 European cities in the past four years for different stories. Presently she is NDTV’s news correspondent in Europe and anchors shows on wine, culture and art for NDTV Good Times. In Wine Country Citizen, she takes the viewers to the most reputed wine regions of the globe. Some of the wines covered on this show are Champagnes, Burgundies, Cabernet Sauvignon, Red wines/ Cabernet Franc, Bordeaux, Carmenere, Gros Verdot, St. Macaire, Merlot, Petite Verdot and Malbec.
