A light-hearted comedy program was brought to us by one and only Mastiii Channel a few years back. This amazing show was called “Yum Bhoola”. As the name suggests, it was a show where the entire concept revolved around Yum, that is, YUMRAAJ, who is responsible for deciding the suitable punishments for all the AATMAs that are redirected to the yumlok after leaving the body of a dead man. Yum, here, carries a disease where he tends to forget everything. He, instead, gets along them and create a mess in the entire Yumlok. As they waste time playing around, the spirit successfully exhausts its ‘mriyutyakaal’ and ends up getting back to its life on earth. As the mythology of India suggests, YUMRAAJ is never alone; a subordinate accompany him, called CHITRAGOOPT.

This show, following the same trend, introduces its third character to the audience. Chitragoopt is the one who keeps an account of every spirit’s Karmas who is supposed to arrive at the Yumlok. The character always fears Yum’s forgetfulness and that the spirit will again be successful in escaping the Yumlok and thus, end by surviving. Sometimes, the show also tries to deliver a social message to the general public watching and enjoying the comedy.

Wherein, the spirit comes up with some serious issues and problem, like in the Common Man episode, and the related issues are discussed in a funny way that the audiences neither get bored nor skip the teachings. Yum Bhoola is nothing like a TV serial. It doesn’t involve heavy emotional drama at all. Instead, each episode of Yum Bhoola is a skit with only three actors who have the capability to make the audience giggle with their acting abilities. It is not a full-fledged episode of 30 minutes.Instead, each episode is of at most 2 minutes which is telecasted on the channel in between the change of programs.
