Devi is a serial based on supernatural powers and the power of worshipping. This serial’s story revolves around a woman who is an incarnation of Goddess Durga. She has acquired powers after years of meditation and solitude. She helps those who are in distress. She is a protector of all the goodhearted people around the world. Wherever misdeeds exceed a point, she comes to save the people who are being mistreated and punish the wrong-doers.
In one of the episodes, a kind woman who has never hurt anyone is mistreated by her family. Her family members are abusive and make her work all day long in the kitchen. But she keeps on working without anyone’s help. Some of the family members are afraid of the family's head and so could not speak for her. One day Devi purposefully starts a conversation with that girl. She realizes that the girl is the most innocent soul any person can encounter. So, Devi follows the girl to her house. She teaches everyone a lesson. It is said that the person ignoring the wrong is more at fault than the wrongdoer. This is why the rest of the family members who were silent when that girl was mistreated were punished. The family members who wished her good and treated her with small gifts of happiness are the ones who are rewarded handsomely by Devi. Devi improves that girl’s life and her mere presence changed the family’s destiny.
