A Kannada based romantic movie, Hosa Belaku was released in 1982 and was directed by Dorai & Bhagwan. The screenplay had been extracted from a novel written by Vani. Rajkumar, K. S. Ashwath, and Saritha play the lead role in the movie. Ravi works in Delhi. He goes to Mysore to spend some quality time with his sister and her family, which contains her better half, a young college going girl Nagaveni, and a step-girl child Vatsala. Being a regular terrible step-mother, the sister abuses Vatsala all the time much to daunt of Ravi.
