What good is your list of TV shows without an adequate dose of romantic comedy? Empty. There is not a single target audience which does not attract towards a good comedy accompanying a little bit of giddy romance. Isn’t that why the genre is created? Indian romantic comedy stories always seem a little goofy but always end up making a lot of sense. This story though is a little different, relying more on the enjoyment that it brings.
Colors Super brings to you, Mangaluru Hudugi Hubli Huduga, a story about modern day lovers stuck between the clashes of their family’s different backgrounds. The show airs from Monday to Saturday at 7:30 pm and revolves around the life of two lovers who are faced with an unavoidable crisis in their lives – convincing their family to accept each other But that would only happen if just for five minutes they could all sit down and not send spites each other’s way.
Aniruddha is a very dedicated family boy. He swore to pay off his family’s debt and get them rid of the humiliation they were facing in their neighbours due to the harassment of the debt collectors. While in search of a job he ends up not just sharing the same workplace but also renting out the same house of a girl named Amulya. Amulya is a good, educated girl who loves her family a lot. She is independent and smart and is not scared to stand up for herself. While looking for a job she comes face to face with Aniruddha and a tussle between the two begins. Even after always being on each other’s toes and giving judgmental looks and snarky comments to each other, both the protagonists start feeling sparks of love blossoming between them.
But the story doesn’t end there. The real trouble arises when Anirudhha and Amulya both wish to confess their love for each other in front of their families. Anirudhha belongs to a Hubli family while Amulya is a Mangluru girl. Both sides are very uncomfortable with each other and thus spiteful comments not only keep floating in the house but also random conflicts keep on happening over the silliest of issues. The two families keep on finding ways of not getting along with each other, and all the pressure keeps adding on Anirudhha and Amulya’s shoulders. On top of that, it keeps getting worse each day. Will they ever be able to convince their families of their relationship?
